Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on permits, pricing, safety and planning your Northeast India trip.

Do I need a special permit to visit Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland or Mizoram?
Yes. Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram, and foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) for restricted zones. Dhriti Holidays arranges all permits for you as part of your booking — just share ID proof and passport-size photographs in advance.
What is the best time to visit Northeast India?
October to April is ideal for Assam, Meghalaya and Kaziranga. Tawang and Bumla Pass are best visited March–June or September–December when the roads are open. December–March brings snow to North Sikkim and Arunachal's high passes. We recommend avoiding June–August monsoon months for mountain routes due to landslide risk.
Do you provide airport pickup from Guwahati?
Yes, free airport pickup and drop from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) is included with every Dhriti Holidays tour package. We also offer standalone cab and driver services for independent travellers.
Are your tour package prices all-inclusive?
Our listed prices cover accommodation, transport, permits and sightseeing as specified in each itinerary, with no hidden charges. Meals, entry tickets and activities included vary by package — every detail is confirmed in writing before you pay.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellation terms depend on how close to departure you cancel, since permits and hotel bookings are secured in advance on your behalf. See our Cancellation Policy for full details, or ask us directly on WhatsApp before booking.
Can you customize an itinerary for my group or family?
Absolutely — every package on this site is a starting template. Tell us your dates, group size, budget and interests, and we'll build a custom itinerary from scratch, free of charge.
Is Northeast India safe for solo and women travellers?
Yes, Northeast India is widely regarded as one of the safest regions in the country for travellers, including solo women. Our guides are locals who accompany you throughout, and we're reachable 24/7 during your trip.
Do you arrange cabs and drivers for self-drive or independent trips?
Yes. Beyond full packages, we offer verified cabs and drivers across all 8 Northeast states — ideal if you already have a plan and just need reliable, local transport.
